Staking Overview

Daily time-series view of total staked FAF tokens across all wallets. The chart tracks how much FAF is staked over time, whether staked FAF is at all-time high (ATH), and identifies the most active stakers and unstakers in recent periods.

Use Cases​

This page helps you:

  • Track total staked FAF: See how the total staked FAF across all wallets changes over time
  • Monitor staking commitment: Check if staked FAF is at ATH or has declined from peak levels
  • Identify active participants: Find the most active stakers and unstakers in recent days
  • Compare staking patterns: Link staking activity to protocol events or market conditions

How to Read This Chart​

Stacked Area Chart:

  • X-axis: Date (chronological)
  • Y-axis: FAF token amount
  • Staked FAF area (teal): FAF locked in staking positions to earn rewards
  • Queued FAF area (orange): FAF in the unstaking queue (90-day linear vesting since Epoch 10)
  • Unstaked FAF area (gray): FAF that has completed unstaking and is withdrawable
  • Reserved FAF area (indigo): FAF allocated to specific recipients but not yet distributed. Initially 788M earmarked for Beast NFT holders; penalty fees from BurnAndClaim (5%) and instant unstakes (3%) also accumulate here until harvested on epoch boundaries. Dropped from 788M to near-zero on October 15, 2025 when unclaimed NFT allocations were swept; since then reflects only accumulated penalties between epoch harvests
  • Total Height: Combined staked + queued + unstaked + reserved FAF in the staking pool
  • Max Staked line (dashed red): Historical peak staked amount for comparison
  • FAF Price line (hidden by default): Click "FAF Price" in the legend to overlay the FAF/USD price on a secondary Y-axis

Status Indicators:

  • Staked FAF currently at ATH: Current staked amount equals or exceeds all previous amounts
  • Staked FAF X% below ATH: Current staked amount has declined from peak by X%

Current Values: The badges at the top show:

  • Staked FAF: Amount currently locked in staking positions
  • Queued FAF: Amount in the unstaking queue (vesting linearly over 90 days)
  • Unstaked FAF: Amount that has completed unstaking (withdrawable)
  • Reserved FAF: Amount allocated but not yet claimed (only visible when non-zero)

Recent Activity Tables:

  • Top Stakers (7d): Wallets that staked the most FAF in the last 7 days
  • Top Unstakers (7d): Wallets that submitted the largest unstake requests in the last 7 days
  • See details: Links to detailed staking history for each wallet in the Wallet Timeline

  • Legend: Click legend items to show/hide areas

FAF Staking Mechanics

FAF token holders can stake their tokens to earn a share of protocol revenue:

  • Revenue share: Stakers receive USDC rewards from trading fees, distributed monthly on the 15th
  • Compounding: FAF token rewards can be re-staked to compound returns
  • Unstaking: FAF enters a 90-day linear vesting schedule (1/90th matures each day). Before Epoch 10 (February 15, 2026), this was a 30-day cliff

Data Sources

  • On-chain staking events from the Flash.Trade perpetuals program, starting April 12, 2025
  • Daily snapshots generated from staker cache at end of each UTC day

Balance Calculation

  • Staked FAF: Sum of all FAF locked in staking contracts across all wallets
  • Queued FAF: Sum of FAF in the unstaking queue (90-day linear vesting since Epoch 10)
  • Unstaked FAF: Sum of FAF that has completed unstaking (withdrawable)
  • Reserved FAF: FAF allocated to specific recipients but not yet distributed. Initially 788M earmarked for Beast NFT holders at TGE, drained by NFT burns (April-October 2025). After the unclaimed reserve was swept on October 15, 2025, this bucket reflects accumulated penalty fees (3% instant unstake + 5% BurnAndClaim) between epoch harvests
  • Total FAF: Staked + Queued + Unstaked + Reserved

ATH Tracking

  • Max Staked: Historical maximum of all daily staked amounts
  • Current deviation: Percentage difference between current staked amount and ATH

Recent Activity Tables

  • Top Stakers (7d): Wallets ranked by total FAF staked in the last 7 days (new stakes and additional deposits)
  • Top Unstakers (7d): Wallets ranked by total FAF entering the unstaking queue in the last 7 days (unstake requests, not completed withdrawals)

Update Frequency

Data is automatically updated once per day. Check the "Last updated" timestamp in the site header for data freshness.

Known Limitations

  • Data window: Staking data starts April 12, 2025; activity before this date is not captured
  • Price data: FAF price may be unavailable for early dates
  • Unstaking regime change: The chart does not visually distinguish the 30-day cliff period (before Epoch 10) from the 90-day vesting period (after Epoch 10). See the FAF Staker Pool Deep Dive article for a detailed timeline
